Is My Math Off on This Scoreless IP Streak?

Pitcher gave up 2 runs after 2 outs in the 6th. Then he completed the game without any more runs. That's 3 and 1/3 scoreless innings.

Next game was a complete game shutout: 9 scoreless innings.

His scoreless innings streak is 12 and 1/3 innings.

However, in the Streak report, it's10 scoreless innings in a row pitched.

What gives?

1) Are you sure he pitched a 9th?

2) As someone that fonts baseball games on TV for a living, it's always tricky how you approach "scoreless inning" streaks. If you go by the outs, then you do get those 1/3 and 2/3 parts of the streak.

That being said, the longtime talent stats person I worked with never approached it this way. He looked at it as, if you gave up 2 runs with 2 outs in the 6th, you didn't throw a "scoreless 6th" and therefore your streak wouldn't begin until the next full inning of no runs allowed.

So wondering if you combine those two factors, maybe the streak is right?

I can see that removing the 1/3 part. However, he did pitch a scoreless 7th, 8th, and 9th. He then pitched a complete game shutout - his team won, so he had to pitch 9. I played the game, and he pitched 9. His game report shows 9IP.. 9+3 = 12, but the Streaks report shows 10 scoreless IP.

What is "fonts the game"?

Ah, definitely weird then!

Sorry, fonting a game means doing graphics for a TV broadcast of a game.

Is that via the bug or something else.

What I do also shows the strike zones for TV, but we don't call it "fonting".

I used to work as a font coordinator for TBS, the primary graphics person responsible for batter lower thirds, fullpages, all kinds of in-game graphics. Font Coordinator would be the production-specific title, although my job title with the company was Production Assistant.
