Minor league parks

Created a new fictional league to mirror MLB setup. I was surprised to see that the Iowa Cubs home stadium is shown as Wrigley Field. Why aren't the actual minor league parks included? I don't care about 3d parks for minor leauges but I would think the actual name, park dimensions and modifiers would be available.

You can download all the AAA 3d stadiums and quite a few AA as well

This really frustrates me. I'm not even interested in 3D, just don't want news stories telling me how my AAA team is doing at Wrigley Field. I've been playing OOTP for 20 years or so and don't recall this ever happening. I don't know that the real minor league stadium dimensions, etc were included in the past but it sure didn't have my minor league teams assigned to same stadium as major league team.

Eriqjaffe has all the AAA and most AA parks. i thought a 2021 MLB season had all the correct names. I am guessing that it pulled it up by the team name not the city name. Check the drop down menu for Iowa for the correct park.

Nah, I set up a fictional league with MLB setup as I always do. Minor league stadiums are not correct. I know Red Sox AAA team also plays at Fenway...there are several and I didn't even check beyond AAA. I started a standard game and the minor league parks all seem correct. Something is wrong when setting it up the way I've always done in the past.

Also if you want just the park names and factors without installing the 3DGambo or Ashantewarrior have a .park file of minor league, KBO 78 *** parks. It's a bit outdated at this point though.

Any team with the same nickname as an MLB team will get that team's park as its own. Whenever I create a new league, I make sure no minor league teams have MLB nicknames to prevent things like all the Rookie League teams playing in tiny little parks, except for the Cardinals' affiliate playing in Busch Stadium......

Thanks for the feedback. I've set up this same type of league several times and don't recall ever seeing this happen before.

Sorry to bring this up again but I just don't understand why, when setting up custom game and choosing MLB configuration with fictional players, the correct minor league park names and data aren't included. When you start a standard game, the info is there for minor league parks. Again, to clarify, I'm not interested in 3D minor league parks (would be cool though)...I just want correct names and park dimensions without taking 2 days to edit every minor league. If a developer would explain why this can't be done, I would love to hear it.

How about this:
  • Create a new MLB league (not a fictional league). You will need to be in Commissioner Mode for these next steps
  • From League Functions, click on "Clear Rosters"
  • Go to the league transactions page to bring up the free agents list
  • Select all players, then delete them all
  • Go back to League Functions, click on "Fill Teams with Fictional Players"
You will need to do that last step for each minor league, but it's still quicker than editing a bunch of minor league parks
  • Take yourself out of Commissioner Mode if you want

That should give you what you want: the real-world MLB/minors structure, correct ballparks, and fictional players.

That's a good idea. I still don't know why it can't be done through custom league but this method sounds doable. I thought this was a new issue but when I went back to check, I guess all my fictional leagues have been this way and I just didn't notice. Thanks for the advice!
