Game freezes every time I minimize it?

So I've had to live with this curious situation over the last three versions, and can't figure out why it happens?

I'm playing the game, and everything is great. But if I minimize the game, and then go back to it, the game freezes on me? I have tabs at the bottom for other sites, say for this one, and as long as I just simply click on that tab, read some things on the forum, and then click on the game tab at the bottom of my screen, the game is fine. Or simply minimize the screen I'm on, the game screen then shows, and I'm good to go.

But again, if I minimize the game, I have to go into Task Manager and shut it down. With it being frozen, I can't shut it down manually. Then I have to boot it back up?

There have been times in the past when I forget, and minimize the game, and if I haven't "saved" the game recently, when I reboot, it starts at where I left off from the last save. I've learned my lesson, so if I sim a week, I do a save, or am running the draft, just about after each round, I will do a save?

It's a thing. I always save if I'm planning on minimizing/alt-tabbing off of OOTP Baseball or if the transactions log is too long and it forces a minimization in order to open the browser window version of the transaction list.

Anytime the game is going to be minimized for some reason you should perform a save as there's a chance you have hard shutdown OOTP and will lose data up to the last save point. It's happened to me late in a draft (was minimizing to get to Excel to cross off players that were drafted) and yeah, you lose the draft unless you saved during it.

Thanks for the response. Didn't know if it was a laptop thing, or something I could change internally to prevent it. I've been trained well trust me(to save), as like you, I've lost weeks/months of game time when I forgot to save within a reasonable amount of simming.
