What’s the status on FHM7?

I really liked FHM last time I played FHM 4 or 5 but remember a few thinks that made me lose interest in it. I am starting to getting some cravings for a new try but whiny to check what you guys think has happened

-Game speed?
I know it’s hardware related but compared to similar games and maybe more demanding I felt that FHM was really slow on advancing in time. Especially since I like to play GM mode with deep runs. Simulating a season just took too much time. This was the main reason I stoped playing.

-Talent development/randomness?
Training talented player where a bit boring and shallow. I also remember it being a bit hard to develop high potential players.
After a couple of seasons ALL the star player where top draft picks with no exceptions. Also drafting after the second round felt unnecessary since my feeling was they never would become any good.

-Scouting?
Scouting was a mess with all the strange regions in North America, at least for me as a Swede. It also was a real click fest to set up all the personnel.

Don’t mean to just criticize the game it is the 3rd best sport sim according to me and that was a few years ago so I guess it’s gotten even better now.

Im now in 2072/2073 season. Speed is OK. It is not so fast, as it was in season 2030s..., but still ok. Or better to say, ok if you run the game in background, when you are working on PC.

To look only to the game window and wait for another day, it could be stressful and annoying.

The games made huge step up since 5. Looking at games in the new 2D mode takes a lot of time if you want to see PBP in detail.
But the sim speed is better than old versions.

I like to sim day by day and handle the roster and as I remember it it took a while to run thru 3-4 seasons. I usually don’t “watch” the games just sim them.

Is there a demo version available?

My main reason as well. I now play OOTP more often primarily due to the game speed.
