WP/PB/Pick Offs

Hey everyone,
I'm through 15 games in my Marlins GM practice run (waiting for next update) and noticed quite a few wild pitches, passed balls, and pick offs.

There's been about 2 pick offs per game
And between both teams about 5 WP/PB

Is there a way to tone this down?

Thanks

15 games is nothing. Try about 2000 and then see where things end up.

This is very likely just a sample size issue. But out of curiosity, what are the actual league-wide or even just team-by team totals for WP and PB so far?

This is through 15 games
WP
AL- 68
NL-65

PB
AL- 16
NL- 19

It may be normal, it just seemed high to me, maybe because in my game particularly it was happening a few times a game.

With regard to pickoffs, my concern isn't the number of pickoffs, but the players who are getting picked off. When I have a slow, lumbering catcher who never attempts to steal a base get picked off, that's when I wonder if the chance of getting picked off is strictly due to the pitcher's hold ability and baserunning ability of the offensive player.

In real life, there's no way that my catcher is going to get picked off, because he never attempts to steal and the pitcher isn't going to pay any attention to him.

We really need someone to track this on a long term basis. It's been brought up plenty of times for quite a few versions now.

I see the same thing, when I play out my games there are 2 - 3 WP/PB per game. That has to be above average no? The season totals always end up fine but my players constantly leads the league in both stats, even with ratings that suggest they shouldn't. To me WP/PB come up at a higher rate in played games vs. sim games even though we've been told they won't/can't.

So using BR MLB 2019 as the last 162 game season. IRL

1788 WP in 4858 G v yours 133 x (4858/450 g) = 1435 WP

349 PB also 4858 G = V yours 35 x (4858/450 g) = 378 WP

So WP are low, 20% vs 2019 rates IRL and PB are 8% high vs 2019 rates.

Still a small sample size. I'd adjust the WP up via LTM because it's 20% off but leave PB until more games played.

I always had the same feeling about certain stats being inflated in played off games (for me, the noticeable one is SB attempts against my team regardless of pitcher hold stat/catcher ability), but if anything, your WP rate league wise is a bit at a lower pace than it would be for a 162 game schedule, using 2019 as reference.
