Negro League accuracy
Just wondering about the accuracy of OOTP - specifically when it comes to the Negro Leagues.

I'm sure OOTP is as accurate as it can be, considering the source material.

I’ve just started a 1932 Season sim, where I unchecked the “color line” box (would that it were so easy in real life) so that Negro League stars could play MLB. That early, with collapsing Negro Leagues in the Depression, stats are few. OOTP is somewhat behind cutting edge recovery work being done by sites like Seamheads. (Of course, you can manually edit those players when new stats are unearthed.). The performance relative to MLB is a bit steep, undervaluing the talents of these players IMHO. You have only to look at post-season barnstorming matchups between white and black players to see the relative parity. Sabremetrics folks have argued over this for years. I’m just pleased I can play this “what if” and help out the weaker teams.

It has some issues that make no sense to me. See my questions on Negro leagues.
