Use 2D Image for 3D Gameplay

I'm not good with the modding, so I'm here to ask y'all (and request this if it is possible)!

Is there a way to set up a blank "field" or "stadium" that's basically just one surface, and then customizable so that someone can paste a picture on it as a texture (or something)? This obviously wouldn't be 3D, but with a fixed camera (no follow ball), it may be good enough as an illusion. This way, you could attach any image from Google Earth and still get the 3D animations on top of it, as opposed to just using images for 2D gameplay. There may be some issues with boundaries, and players running on top of the fence to make a catch, but I could live with that.

***Bonus points for using a picture of a tabletop or hardwood floor to simulate the old school card and dice baseball games. This in and of itself may make it worth it!***

Sure that could be done.

I guess I didn't understand it at first. Using an image as the field of play is fine, but the scale will probably most likely be off from image to image. or you will need to adjust the 3d grid on top oof the image to match the field size. Not sure how it will work

Hmm. Would it be possible to adjust the scale for images or not?
