Stadium Construction Kit
This still needs a lot of work in my opinion because the current design is difficult to use. It's hard to believe that any usability testing was done with this feature.
Having to navigate fence post by fence post, moving things in and out is a click-fest nightmare. And once you've got one side of the stadium done correctly, you have to do it again on the other side if you want a uniform ballpark rather than just have a "symmetric" option. Also, after each click, you need to click on the button to preview the ballpark factors rather than having a dynamic display that shows you results of all that clicking. Why can't we just enter dimensions and wall heights like way back in Earl Weaver Baseball? LL, LF, LC, C, RC, RF, RL LLW, LFW, LCW, CW, RCW, RFW, RLW The program would then automatically make adjustments. Earl Weaver Baseball also gave you the option of choosing the size and style of foul territory which would be a nice addition in the future. A couple of other notes... * I wish I could place a scoreboard somewhere other than center field. * I wish I could put a billboard without people (for small ballparks). * I wish I could choose the nation flag when placing a flagpole. This is meant as constructive criticism for future editions. It's too bad that there isn't an old copy of Earl Weaver Baseball lying around to provide an example of how a stadium designer could be built. |

The "Save Ballpark" button doesn't show up anywhere for me on the last step of ballpark creation. In version 21 it was a big green button. I'm running Windows 10, if that makes any difference.
