Error message upon opening the game

After I installed OOPT22, closed the game, and re-opened it I receive this error (pic attached). After I close the error, the game opens anyways but seems broken (well, I only tried opening Perfect Team and it wouldn't download the file/open).

It's a minor bug it seems, as when I do run the game as an administrator, it opens fine and PT works. It's easy enough to set it to always run as admin on Windows so it's just one extra click when opening the game. Just thought I would report it in case it's a simple fix, since this didn't happen in previous versions.

I did also try reinstalling, but the issue persisted.

OS: Windows 10, 64-bit

I had the same issue. I deauthorized my key, then uninstalled.

Then I reinstalled in a custom folder. All worked fine after. I don't know why.

This can happen if you don't have write permission on the custom folder you're using in-game. Sometimes this can happen because an anti-virus or other program is blocking writing to a specific folder.

There are a few things that can help. One is to run OOTP in admin mode. Another is to whitelist OOTP itself as well as any OOTP data folders in any anti-virus/disk checker programs etc you may be using.

If doing that still doesn't solve this, then feel free to submit a support ticket and the support team can walk you through some more troubleshooting.
