If it wasn't for my 3rd team, I'd be in a deep depression right now, lol. Pulls of the 1st and 2nd teams (even with the loyalty awards) were horrendous. One team even doubled up on the same diamond loyalty reward.

When I finally got to the 3rd team, things were looking up. Since I'm going to join the "Our League" this year, I was looking for historical cards, and I landed 38 of of 60, with one of the Diamonds a historical one as well.

Could have been better, but the angel of luck handed me a challenge this year.

I pulled historical legend 97 Bob Caruthers with my last diamond pack on my 3rd (now first lol) team so I'm pretty happy lol

Scored a 98 PEAK Chick Hafey in one of my “loyalty” Diamond packs. Sold him for a nice sum and am putting together a team for Bronze tournaments so that I can start getting a stream of packs to open in the coming weeks. Those should start to get me on my way with the live missions. I’m not in a rush to spend the points that I got from the sale.

I lied. I cannot follow a plan to save my life and the plan was to NOT buy PT22 until it was on sale for $5 and take a long break from this game! But, then I realized I can still NOT play PT22 until December and a team setup today will still earn gobs of PP and twitch drop packs! I should have over 500 packs to open come December!

So, I opened my starter packs and got 2 historical diamonds from the loyalty packs! Then proceeded to sell off all the live crud in those packs and before you know it, I had thousands of points. Live irons went for 80 and bronzes sold for 250-350 each. Flush with points, I violated principal and bought 7 regular packs and got 2 more historical diamonds! After that I decided to quit while I was ahead. At the end of the day, I have about 7K from selling 49 live cards and 2 historical iron duplicates. I kept all of the historical cards.

The only other thing left to do was try out Perfect Draft. What a chore! I couldn't wait for the draft to end and then let the AI set up the team. You have to keep track ON PAPER(!) the positions you have drafted if you want a complete team. It was a 32 player Do or Die and I won! I'm 1 for 1 and DONE with that mode.

Now, the plan is to just let this team ride until December and "watch" streams for the drops.

Glad I have multiple IDs for teams. My first one got Alex Bregman in both Diamond packs.

In Perfect Draft there is a tracker on the bottom left of the screen that shows you how many players you have drafted at each position.

That is a clutch pull! I'm not sure there are many players that would be more valuable at this point in the game, because his hitting stats are very good and he can DH on pretty much every day he doesn't pitch.

Pulled 96 Ginger Beaumont on one of my teams. Tried to cash in, nobody bit. Not gonna lower the price too crazily, so I'll just keep him and see if he can wreak havoc on his opponents in the early weeks.

The team itself should be no danger of being any good anytime soon, which honestly is what I'm going for. Beaumont will rake early and earn points by himself while prices hopefully start to come down.

I got nothing great in my initial packs and my loyalty/bonus were just ok. I am becoming a packs guy as selling stuff is very profitable now.

I only started one of my teams but my luck in PT22 was consistent with my luck in PT21 - nothing terribly good to start. I had 2 gold packs and 1 diamond pack in addition to the starter packs. The diamond is a Live Freddy Freeman which I'm trying to sell, and the golds were 80s/81s so pretty meh.

Gonna start my other 2 teams on Monday after the initial leagues form... hoping my luck can improve a bit before then.

I can add to my previous post...streamed making two more teams, and pulled a 100 Jeff Reardon out of one of the loyalty reward packs.

Trying to cash in on him as we speak. Hopefully by the morning I wake up with nearly 200k in the coffers and a big pack run to be had.

Yeah no kidding. I'm so psyched, he's a great card for tournaments too and as a F2P (after buying the game ofc) it's extra meaningful.

Of course the first tournament I joined he gave up 9 runs, but that's baseball for ya

The only diamonds I got were from the loyalty packs, but one of those was Jack Flaherty so as a Cardinal Fan I was happy about that.

Have not made the prize round of my 3 perfect drafts so far but managed 4th place in a 32 team tourney. Not bad for my first tourney and having no idea what to do.

Right after release is usually a time where you can safely open packs and know you'll get your PPs back, or even make a profit, as even live bronze and silvers go for hundreds of points on the AH.
Unless you immediately run into a negative streak not seen in 10's of thousands of packs in PT21 of course...
Currently on 22 straight packs without a single silver, live or otherwise. I know this will correct itself in the end (right?), but I'd like a few while they're still worth something please, game.
