Second Nationality/Foreign Players Limit

Is there any way to keep second nationality from being taken into consideration for foreign player limit? Or turning off second nationality altogether?

I am attempting to create a pan-European league in my fictional universe and teams from Spain and Italy end up dominating because of all the Dominican and Venezuelan players they are able to carry without counting against foreign player limits.

So far as I know, there's no way to turn off Second Nationality, but there's another way to accomplish what you probably want. Set the Roster Restrictions to "League Nation" rather than "Team Nation", and set the League Region to "Europe-at-Large". Now all teams will be able to sign players with any European Second Nationality.

This isn't intuitive, I realize, but one of the OOTP developers suggested it, I've tried it out, and it works.

As far as I know the only way would be to edit the world_database.xml file.

Look for <SECOND_NATIONS> in the file.

Thanks for the suggestions.

The other way I was able to mitigate this issue was by inserting another higher prestige Indy league in the US which seemed to soak up most of the talented Dominican/Spanish and Venezuelan/Italian players that seemed to end up finding their way to Europe and throwing the league out of balance.

A toggle in the global settings to turn off second nationality would be ideal, but I'll deal with it for now!

Is your European League "International" or "Independent", and how does pay compare in the Euro and U.S. leagues? I ask, because my experiments suggest that all International Leagues outrank all Independent Leagues, regardless of Reputation. Of course, I may have been wrong about that, or proximity and salaries may outweigh Reputation.

Euro Leagues are International, Reputations 6 and 4.

Indy League is Indy, Reputation 8.

Pay is double in Indy League compared to top level Euro league.

Also, I believe there were too few teams for too many players in the universe as my main Major League (48 teams) was creating a draft pool for 40 rounds when the draft was only 20 rounds.
