The sim engine is the same whether you play out games or sim them. When you say "low walk rate", what kind of low are we talking about?

Probably haven't played enough, but just has felt like I haven't seen very many walks, from either team...

My starters aren’t walking a ton, reliefs a little more

I thought the same thing, but it wasn’t a red flag, but I’m also glad that I’m not the only one that has slightly seen it. It’s one of those things that I don’t want to tweaked too much ,but could be tweaked a little bit

Isn’t the walk rate in baseball down other than intentional walks? Because more guys are striking out?

This is my 2nd purchase of the newest game which makes 3 purchases for meand I'm still learning. I will never stop learning something new. The game is more realistic and challenging at the same time...its so real...I keep trying to manage in real time but i set up my managing behind closed doors. I still can't put together a winning season...but that is what keeps me on my toes and always struggling to put together a winning season is what makes it realistic...I love how you listen to everything that have to say....thank you a million times putting together the game that brings me back to the happiest time in my life and that is 1981-85 Kansas City Royals.You bring to live so many adults and turns us into 12 year old again each ad every day

This should be fixed by the instruction Markus provided elsewhere. Assuming you're on OS 11, go to the OOTP22 application in your application folder, click on it, then go to the File menu and select Get info. When that window opens, select the box beside "Open in low resolution". that should fix the problem.

I had similar problems when I first tried OOTP22, but these were resolved by updating from OS 10 to OS 11 on my iMac. I'm guessing you're currently on OS 10. The fix Markus pointed to will help once you've installed OS 11.

No in the 4 games that I have played the AI has intentionally walked a few guys in each game trying for the double play or to get to the pitcher.

Interesting. It was a very small sample size, I've only had the game for 24 hours but it just seemed like I wasn't seeing a lot of walks thus far. Could very well change.

Since this is my initial impressions...

1. The import function should grab ballpark models. I hadn't worried because it had the stadium name, and all of the factors correct, but when I started a game it was the default major league ballpark. Annoying rather than a game breaker.

2. I will need some time to get used to the new UI. Again, I wish that it grabbed the settings from 21 as it took a bit of time, and will take more, to get everything in its place so I can quickly get data that I'd become accustomed to.

3. Shadowing on the players in 3D mode is extreme. It is as if they are backlit from center field.

Watching my first game replay, it looks very good. One thing that is distracting is when fielders go back for a ball but keep their backs to home plate as they make the catch even if they are there in plenty of time.

Just to go off on a tangent (I don't get the game until Friday)

I always thought that MLB The Show should have introduced a VR Spectator mode when PSVR was released. Pick a half dozen seats scattered around each MLB stadium and let us watch a game in VR. Closest thing many will come to being watch a game in every stadium.

1. Game is faster to install.
2. I have iOS version 10.13.6 and the game is unplayable in pbp mode.
3. I cannot stand while simming being able to see the result already through a translucent screen while the screen is simming.
4. Still tons of things remain the same while they keep pouring time into the graphics for a text/spreadsheet game. I secretly resent that many customers undoubtedly have wanted this but I couldn't care less if they had even added 3D mode, ever.
5. My sim speeds are arguably lower than 21.
6. Overall I'd say B. The stadiums are gorgeous but for a simmer, it doesn't affect me at all.
7. Gonna be pretty upset if we are forced to upgrade to iOS 11 just to be able to play a game out in pbp.

I’m seeing a lot of guys getting thrown out at home plate. I just had a game end with a runner trying to reach 3rd base with two out. Need to tone down the base running aggressiveness.
