That retire player button comes in handy and who's to say they don't want to spend more with the family?

Mets, as usual. Excited to get into the contract extension stuff tbh.

Have been playing OOTP for an extended period for the first time since 2013 (after one too many Football Manager rage-quits) starting with the Padres in 1969. Has been lots of fun building a team from scratch including the odd player from Ball Four!
Currently outperforming the real-life Padres with 66-96 in season one and currently 50-51 in season two.

Unsure whether I'll import it into 2022 though, so I'm leaning towards a Reds or Mariners modern MLB save.

For my start this year I'm doing challenge mode with Colorado and the trade slider up 3/4.

Not off to a good start...

So I quickly got up to the end of 2028 before thunderstorms started booming and I shut down. Took almost 5 hours to get there. That seemed fast compared to a ten year sim of only MLB that I do quite often. I had the Task Manger active so I could check how much RAM was being used, and the highest I saw (so it could have been higher when I wasn't looking) was just short of 2.2 GB.

So so far so good.

I'm looking at the Angels, but Ohtani looks way underrated this year. 40 control and 45 contact? That basically guts him.

I guess I could edit him to be better, somewhere in between his OOTP 21 and 22 ratings...
