exited first game, basic windows functions don't work

Exited my first game (pirates win! 6-3) and basic windows functions do not work....tried to change display settings and they won't come up, says an no app associated...can't adjust volume settings, etc... really bizarre never seen anything like this...

The game shouldn't be capable of causing anything like that to happen. There must be something else going on with your system

yah I guess. Didn't have any probs before, start button doesn't do anything...oh well. fart.
