Player Icon Prototype

I'm really enjoying the 2D Match Engine and now that we have the ability to create icons instead of just having numbered squares, I've been toying with the idea of creating some players.

I've got a prototype in place, and kinda wondering what people think as I may go through all the NHL teams

I made also a version with a skate cause I think the players look a bit to small compared to the puck...
Which volor do you use?
The main jersey colors shown in the edit team menu?

If I can make it clear enough, it might be possible to have jersey and shorts be different colours.

My first attempt looked a little rough though

In my draft i wanted to match the color to the color above in the score board, so all away icon are white...

I have done some reworking to include a little bit more team colour

Ignore the jitter at Dallas' left winger (4).. Thats just a glitch in my capture

Good job all we need to have is a goalie icon to replace the 6th player

Nice job! Will you do all the teams and offer it here as a download?

A different icon for the 6th player will not be possible today cause all players ude the same icon. That has to be changed codewise.

Dallas Stars (Yeah I know.. Not alphabetically next, but were the team I was playing next in my current game and good to test with)

Now that im more settled on design, it shouldn't take too long to blitz through the rest

Or is the plan to copy them and use the same design for home and away?

Still have to decide if I love yours more than my skate icons ;-)
One thing you could think about is making the black parts of some teams a bit more dark grey to make the puck easier to see.

I made a bigger version 20x20 of the puck with a NHL logo on top (hard to see in that tiny size) to make the puck a bit better visible:

Never that about that solution to be honest...
Did that with my icons too. Thanks for pointing that out.
Probably you could think about shrinking the player figure a bit cause the horizontal flip will make the number up right hard to read now.
