More of a question....

When I search for a player by ratings under the Player Trade window, I noticed that my players have very different ratings then they have when I look at them off my roster. I was a little surprised by this difference, since my scout has Legendary scouting ability....

Are the ratings in the Player Trade window the actual ratings or something?

Example:

SP Joshua Sousa - Age 28

Viewing off the roster page....
Stuff 7 (Good Talent)
Movement 8 (Brilliant Talent)
Control 7 (Brilliant Talent)

Viewing off the Search by Ratings results.......
Stuff 9 (Brilliant Talent)
Movement 9 (Brilliant Talent)
Control 7 (Brilliant Talent)

You're looking at them through the eyes of different scouts. I think the ratings search gives you the view from an "average" scout, which may be different from how your scout sees that player.

At least, I think that is what's happening.
