newest reveal video

While I loved the newest reveal video from yesterday, I wish they would of went deeper. They did not mention anything about new managing options so I wonder if they improved that or if they added or improved player animations or if they made the play by play any better. i i was just a but disappointing. I love managing games but I just do not do it anymore because i get too bored with boring play by play and animations. The animations needed a major overhaul. That is also needs a huge improvement in addition to what they have already done, I just really hope....

I don't see that as a complaint at all contrary to what someone else we won't named did last month... anyway how your reply was constructive or relevant?

This is a valid comment and this is true that the animation have some problems... unless you think a player going in the field stands, and not just a little, to pick a ball is fine.

And yes the reveal didn't reveal that much... sure they said this and that is new but didn't explain anything (showing for 20 seconds isn't explaining), seriously the list we got before was more useful to know what will be the difference between the new version and the previous version.

But this is what happen when the focus of a game switch from pay to play to pay to win...

Well there is the question answer session next Friday. I used pause and was able to see quite a few things. Sure I don't know the details on how they will work but even if they explained I'm not sure how much it would mean until I actually use the feature.

By animations I imagine if you mean how the players move like every year there will be improvements at release and in patches. If you mean the player models detail in 3d play my guess is next year since the stadiums were the focus for 22. As noted the most time consuming thing they've ever done. Add to that moving to 64 bit, IIRC from what they said in the past, is also a huge time sink. I think it would be a decent bet that a lot of that time goes to players next year. If they had done players this year someone would post they should have done stadiums. It is the nature of the beast

My understanding of the players through the walls issue is it is a stadium issue. Maybe the new stadium builds have corrected most or all of these?

I love the new stadiums. Coaches? Not what I would focus on but knowing they're coming has me interested. All the situational team strategies by inning means nothing to me. More strategies for individual players? Not sure I'd use that much but may change my mind when I see it. The 64 bit is something long overdue IMHO.

Not sure where pay to play comes into it? What I saw of the reveal seemed to all be for OOTP proper? Unless they are charging extra for the new stadiums and coaches?

In any case, like every year, there is only so much time. If an issue or feature is not addressed this year then one requests and hopes for next.

There was not at any point that I meant anything negative. I just had wished to see more and i had to rewind the video multiple times in order to see the fe changes that they showed. There is a ton more for us to see but we will not see the really cool stuff when we are actually playing the game...since i pre-ordered this long wait seems years as I mentioned i meant no negativity, i'm just overly excited to play the new game and that is my only fault as I see it

I chatted with markus a few moments ago and he did confirm that there are indeed plenty of new animations

I have confidence that there will be plenty of awesome new animations, and really, when you've played out hundreds or even thousands of games in 3D, even a few new things sprinkled in are huge. Obviously the stadiums look amazing, I am super excited and can't wait to play out a game in the new version!

Yea, this is my thought as well, and I am fairly sure you are correct: The player models will be next to get an upgrade in 23.

at the same time we don't know if the player models need tobe updated yet until we see the players in 22. it's just driving me nuts waiting these last 10 days until we can finally play the game. As we download the game its goig to be the longest 10 minutes in history LOL...i'm just wish we could get it sooner but i will do my best to be patient

The player models are being updated, and yeah, obviously there's always plans for more updates later. There's also some new camera features that change the way you play as well, but for a lot of this stuff, we're still fighting right to the last second to clean it all up, so unfortunately it's really hard to add into reveal videos like this.

I play historical and I haven't see any improvement to this part of the game... Seriously I like the new stadium like everyone else but I don't use them, I never reached the modern days in my game, at best I'm in the nineties when the new version launch (so I play with the historical ones). The new coaches? Great obviously, but this is for modern players and to be honest even what we have already doesn't work for the type of game I play.

Now if the players catching balls in the crowd is fixed I'll be a happy camper and it's awesome, like I have already said, that the game will use all my computer memory finally.

I'll buy the 26 as I always do, I just think that nothing changed between 21 and 22 for the way "I" play the game... but on the other hand I know that Markus always add little this and that after the game is released every years so who knows maybe I'll get something awesome too in may, july or august.

Even Markus admits in the video that "it is tough to do something new" after re-packaging the game 22 times.

I would have lost money on that bet. As time intensive as I figured the stadium updates to be... I thought that would be it for the folks who mess with that aspect of the game. Nice job

Totally agree with you... you were not negative... you just expressed an opinion... I wish they had talked less and demonstrated more of the game... I am really into improved animation... but they only showed a short very brief view of the player movements... less than 10-15 seconds... hopefully, they will show more details of the new features and animation improvement next time.

The 3D stadiums look like they have been improved... they looked much better that last year... cleaner, better clarity and contrast... I liked the way they show last year's stadiums right next to this year's improved stadiums.

Still will buy OOTP22... it is a terrific baseball game.

Great news, Matt.

Thank you for always being here to answers our questions and to keep us informed about the game.

You are one of the reasons OOTP is such a great game... Markus and you and the team listen to us.

OOTP has great customer service.
