Will OOTP 22 have the new revamped minor league system?

Accurate 2021 MLB and MiLB rosters, rules, and schedules. Baseball is changing more than ever, and OOTP 22 has everything covered - including the dramatic changes to the minor leagues.

It's an entirely new minor league structure in 2021 with new team affiliations, leagues, and rules - and OOTP 22 has it all!

And I hope that they have left in the capability to easily add and reconfigure minor leagues and teams. I know that MLB has eliminated many of the short season leagues, but I plan on "re-adding" them because that's where my interest truly lies.

Same. I actually wrote down the SSA league structures and teams in my note pad so I can reconstruct them when the time comes.

Why wouldn't they? Editable league structures have always been a feature. It's a main selling point - they call it the "Infinite Baseball Sandbox" on the trailer for goodness sake!

You have nothing to worry about

And if you are like some people who are unhappy with the new minor system, you can re make the minor leagues any way you want to and if your favorite leaguer retired at age 27, you can bring him back too!

Why do I have multiple players named ballplayer? And why to I have fictional players like Doc Suess? When I disable automatic creation of free agents?

What about taxi squads of 5 players for all of the MLB teams?

I doubt we will see this...and I doubt that Covid will be in the game (which is fine by me).

Remember, if you want to make 2020 a 60 game season, you can. I just do not think that you will get the odd ball cancelations we got last year.
Also, I would think that maybe we could get a 5 man taxi squad with the features that are in the Hockey game.

I’ve not seen Doc Seuss, but Ballplayer is used in historical games for players whose first names have been lost to history. You especially see that with historical minor leaguers. For example, in my 1930s save there is a player who in real life played a few games in the minors named Graham without his first name being in box scores or stat sheets who actually developed into the starting first baseman for the Browns in my game as Ballplayer Graham.

What I wonder is, if we do a 2019 historical start, when we come to the 2021 season will it (or can it) automatically make the changes to the minors?

2021 is not considered a historic year yet, so it isn't going to be in the historic database.

I do not believe those changes would happen automatically at this point (though they would in next year's game).
