Need help with a league logo...

I found a picture of a pretty awesome metal sign. I'm just absolutely horrendous at Photoshop and can't make it look like a logo lol. Anyone out there willing to remove the background image for me, and I can continue working on my league's designs? I already have a font design to replace what's currently there as well. Just cant get the dang background out lol. Oh, and if you could also take the bottom part under the signage and make it a baseball, that would be AWESOME!
