I don't understand the issue with giving people a chance to preorder. Long time players such as myself are going to buy each year to support the company. For others that want to wait, you will have plenty of time to preorder after the features are announced. If you're not sure today, just wait until after the reveal to make your preorder decision..

Steam person, so due to the frequent patches required for PT no pre-order from me. I like the convenience.

That being said, I added the game to my wishlist yesterday. Am I a good boy? Do i get a cookie?

Please?

Don't want to buy the cat in the bag? Then don't buy the cat in the bag. It's not like you're going to miss out on anything special between now and the reveal. Sitting tight and waiting for the feature reveal sure beats filling a couple o' pages with passive-aggressive "some people..." rhetoric.

Thanks! This will be a lot of fun, Scott is a great guy

Of course! We'll have a list of features after the shows, and this list will grow until release because we will still be tweaking / adding stuff right until the last minute, as always

Very good boy, indeed. And yes, come visit me in Hamburg and I might even improve the cookie to a beer

No, it will come out a bit later. But once OOTP 22 is out of the door, a significant amount of development time will be shifted back to OOTP Go to get it done as soon as possible.

Knowledge suggests less caution needed.

I will be buying from STEAM this year making this the first year since v5 (second year as OOTP4 was my first) I will not pre-order or order at the first opportunity (don't recall if pre-ordering was a thing back in 2003?).

My reason for going Steam is I plan on retiring in May and will finally have the time to run a historical game along side my on going game I import from version to version. The ease of modding the game for historical play through Steam tips the scales in it's favor. I will miss the three day head start I get building my multitude of views and filters with the direct buy version I'll get by knowing once I have my Steam version I will have unlimited play time

One thing I took from the screenshot is a preview of how the stadiums are being updated with better models. It's a small thing but check out the infield dirt and you'll get a small look at what's to come.

Like every year I can't wait to get my hands on the newest "best baseball game every made". Easiest game buying decision I make every year.

Congrats. I retired in December and my silly smile playing as much OOTP as I want makes my son laugh.

i retired 6 years ago and i haven't missed that paper mill once. And i spend a LOT of time on OOTP and as well as re-recording my music collection. Retirement is a good thing. Just wish it paid a bit better ....

Thanks

I'll be jealous of your OOTP time for approx 90 more days

One of my favorite things is all of the people saying " I bet you get bored". Pretty sure that won't happen

I'm really excited - pre-ordering on next payday.

I'm also really pumped for OOTP Go. With a toddler around, I get to do mobile gaming a lot more often than desktop gaming nowadays. OOTP is hands-down what I miss the most.

(plus, I'll be able to check my lineup from work!)
