graphics problems

The game has been working pretty well up till yesterday.

Yesterday my skins started to load incorrectly. Sometimes that top menu would fail to load, which would make things difficult. I seem to be able to fix this problem by quiting and reloading several times until the issue goes away.

Now I have a new problem. All of the bmps in the game are failing to load. This includes Player photos, team logos, the main screen logo.... Basically anything that was a customizable bmp, that isn't the skin. I can't seem to remedy this problem by simply restarting the game.

My machine specs (don't laugh now):

NVidia GeForce 256 (32 MB)
600 Mhz Intel CPU
640 MEGs RAM
Windows 2000

I would recommend running defrag and scandisk, this may not be a game issue.

After a little poking around I found out that the problem existed because of an incompatability with a web based mail alert system and OOTP. If I shut down the mail alert deamon, the game runs fine.
