Cannot sign player in OHL to NHL contract
I have a NHL league team.
I drafted a player at 18 in in the OHL. After 3 years I could not sign the player because he still had an OHL contract at age 21, so my team no longer had rights to that player. Is that possible? |

We'll need to see the save for that, it should be literally impossible for an NHL team to get that message for a player under contract to one of the CHL leagues.

Ah, it's a custom game. Looks like the fix for overage players staying in junior isn't working for properly in those, and the signing rules work differently there.
The AHL playoffs, unfortunately, will remain off because the game was created when the bug that turned them off during the AHL league creation in a custom game was present. Normally, you could re-activate them on July 1, but the AHL in custom games has the restriction on structure editing that prevents that. I'll see if that can be removed so the playoffs can be edited back in to a game that has this problem. |
