Game Crashed & Uninstalled?

This crash was so strange I figured I had to post about it. I've been running the game for the past few days with no problems. I began making a Custom League and when I was prompted to enter my personal information the drop-down bar for my nationality just locked a black-box on the screen. I couldn't do anything else on the screen except hit "continue" so I did.
Then once in the game, I was unable to operate any of the dropdown menus and the black box was still on my screen.
I couldn't quit, I couldn't close the program via the Task Manager, so I had to do a hard reboot.
When I booted it back up and went to Steam I found the game had uninstalled.
I've reinstalled it now and will see what happens.
Weird one, figured it might help someone to know about it.

Not sure what this could be, other than some sort of system crash that corrupted the installation to the point of Steam no longer being able to recognize it as installed (the game can't uninstall itself on its own.) That does happen in Steam occasionally, apparently the most common cause is trying to play from an external hard drive, but assuming that's not what you were doing in this case, another type of interruption could've had the same effect. It may be a good idea to run a hard drive diagnostic just to make sure this isn't a warning sign of an imminent failure.
