Sorry Dev team

OOTP 21 has by far been the worst version you have put out IMO. I've been playing this game since 11.

Scouting: in general has taken a huge step backwards. This whole scouting accuracy feels like total busy work, for what seems like no benefit at all. It's a complete waste of time and overall annoying feature.

Playoffs : I'm not sure if anything has been done here or not. But in our online league 3 years straight the best team has been ousted in the first round. This year the two top teams (considered by all in the league) got ousted, one in the first round and the other in the second round. I get you want a bit of randomness here...but it seems way over the top with this version.

Injuries This seems to be heavily weighted towards pitching. I get that this might be the case in real life...but the ratio's seem insane. On top of the career ending injuries to them...it's hard to take. I've had more top rated SPs go down to career ending injuries in this version, than I can ever remember in all of the previous versions.

Farm systems In past versions it seems to have been a bit more reliable. In this latest version it seems more like a crapshoot. I've seen more late, late round guys turn into game changing stars. I get this happens in real life every now and than...but this seems a tad off as well.

Development Recently did a full on rebuild. Traded away a bunch of valuable pieces away to build up by far the top system in our league. Only to see most of who I traded for die in development. Our league is very budget focused. To be able to max out scouting and development is very rare in our league (to be able to max one of them out is as well rare). I was able to max both out during my rebuild. I'm not saying all guys should work out. But to only hit on maybe 20% - 30% of them seems extremely low to me. It has the feel of OOTP keeping dynasties from forming... Which a part of me gets...but after spending days upon days forming trades (it takes a lot of effort) to see guys disintegrate because OOTP feels your team is too strong. This goes for minor leagues and ML roster it seems.

I have never been more annoyed with this game than I am currently. This version is trash (sorry)...I'm in 2 leagues and one of them didn't even migrate too it. I haven't been in an online league that didn't upgrade at one point eventually.

I feel like Perfect team is taking way too many top dev resources away from what got them to where they are now.

I always turn scouting off for the best experience. I'm with ya on worrying about perfect team taking over, seems like the online experience doesn't get much love.

man...you're making me wonder if I should hold off on this...was gonna buy at the discounted rate. I do have an older version I could stick with, I suppose.

V21 is the best version I've played. I've played a lot of OOTP since v5.

Could not agree more on Scouting. I have been a big fan of Scouts and budgets for scouts. This version took all the fun out of having scouts. For example, how can you have a player on your team performing every day and have a low scouting accuracy? Does not make sense. Trying to scout all the players in the draft often results in reports coming in after the draft is concluded.
For me it's the #1 fix request.

On top teams flopping in the first round, last year I made a similar post for the same reasons. I've seen 4 game sweeps with top teams 10-15 games higher in the standings on several occasions. Far too many upsets are taking place.

I have also wondered about top player skills fading when the team is at the top of the heap. Is it even possible these two would be related?

Some functionalities that operated smoothly for years were problematic in this version. Numerous times I've run across players who need to be assigned after passing through waivers only to find the game not allowing it. Not because the player is refusing assignment, it gives the message that the player has to pass through waivers before being assigned. The player is on their last day and has already passed through the waiver time line. Waiver claims are another example.
