Saskatoon Gems

Location: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
Established: 1964
Record: 2781-3004 (.481)
Playoff Appearances: 1973, '74, '81, '84, '99, 2002, '13, '14, '16
Cups: 1984, 2013
Hall of Famers: 6
Stadium: Cairns Field
Market Size: 5 (up from the original 3)
Affiliate: Swift Current 57s

My personal favorite team in the league, the Saskatoon Gems have had only fleeting success in their 57 seasons in the CBL. But their jerseys and purple and teal and they're a feisty underdog in the Central Division. A Gem is also my favorite player in league history - CF Waylon Cannon won a couple Gold Gloves with Saskatoon and also set the single-season stolen base record with 64 in 1977.

The logos and jerseys are from TrapperJohn's Continental Baseball League save, while the stadium is a modified version of Neilsoncp's Jackie Robinson Stadium.

Thunder Bay Border Cats

Location: Thunder Bay, Ontario
Established: 1984
Record: 1813-1962 (.480)
Playoff Appearances: 1989, '90, '91, '92, '95, 2003, '06, '07, '08, '09, '20
Cups: None
Hall of Famers: 1
Stadium: Port Arthur Stadium
Market Size: 3
Affiliate: Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds

The Border Cats are the oldest of the three CBL franchises who have never won a Cup, with their ignominious streak now at 37 seasons. Things are looking up in Thunder Bay, with a 59-43 season in 2020 to snap an 11-year postseason drought. Their lone Hall of Famers, Logan Shook, is perhaps the best fielder in CBL history, with eleven shortstop Gold Gloves to his name.

The logos and jerseys are of my own making, based on the Border Cats of the Northwoods League. (I'm not a fan of these jerseys if anyone feels like making better ones). The stadium is a modified version of Neilsoncp's Dominico Field.

Toronto Blue Jays

Location: Toronto, Ontario
Established: 1947
Record: 3930-3486 (.530)
Playoff Appearances: 1950, '51, '52, '57, '59, '60, '63, '64, '66, '67, '72, '73, '75, '86, '87, '88, '89, '90, '91, '92, '97, '99, 2000, '02, '15, '20
Cups: 1950, '51, '60, '63, '64, '66, '72, '73, '86, '88, '91, '92, 2000, '02
Hall of Famers: 9
Stadium: Rogers Centre
Market Size: 12 (up from the original 11)
Affiliate: St. Catharine's Blue Jays

The Blue Jays are the CBL's most storied franchise, with the most wins, highest winning percentage, and most Cup titles. But the Jays have fallen upon hard times in the 21st century, as the 2010s became the first full decade without a Blue Jays title. A tendency to scoop up high-profile pitchers who debuted with other teams has somewhat limited Toronto's Hall of Fame count, but make no mistake: this is the Evil Empire.

The logos and jerseys are the standard Blue Jays logos and jerseys that come with the game (not included here because they're .oi files). The stadium is a not-at-all modified version of Neilsoncp's Rogers Centre remodel concept.

Vancouver Mounties

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia
Established: 1947
Record: 3712-3705 (.500)
Playoff Appearances: 1949, '51, '59, '75, '76, '80, '85, '88, '96, 2001, '03, '04, '18, '19, '20
Cups: 1955, '75, '96, 2019
Hall of Famers: 4
Stadium: Scotiabank Field
Market Size: 9
Affiliate: Victoria HarbourCats

Like Ottawa and Montreal, Vancouver is a founding franchise that has struggled to make its mark on the league, winning only 4 titles in 74 seasons. The franchise's most legendary player is Gary Burt, a Vancouver native who won a record five MVP awards in the 1940s and '50s without winning a single Canadian Cup.

The logos and jerseys were OOTP-ified by me, based on logos which I cannot find on the internet, for the life of me. If you're the creator of these logos, please let me know. The stadium is a modified version of Neilsoncp's Scotiabank Field.

Winnipeg Goldeyes

Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba
Established: 1947
Record: 3649-3767 (.492)
Playoff Appearances: '48, '53, '57, '58, '60, '61, '79, '86, '87, '88, '89, '90, '91, '92, '93, 2003, '10, '11, '12
Cups: 1953, '57, '58, '61, '89, 2011
Hall of Famers: 5
Stadium: Shaw Park
Market Size: 10 (up from the original 5)
Affiliate: Brandon Wheat Kings

Last but not least, Winnipeg is a proud CBL franchise in the smallest market of the original eight squads. The Goldeyes have had some success, winning six titles and having a streak of eight straight playoff appearances in the '80s and '90s. Jose Cienfuegos, who pitched ten years in Winnipeg, is widely considered the greatest pitcher in CBL history. He won six pitcher of the year awards as a Goldeye, with a 2.42 ERA with the team.

The logos and jerseys are of my making, based on the Goldeyes of the American Association. The stadium is a slightly modified version of Neilsoncp's Shaw Park.

My CBL

I started a file with the new quickstart and I couldn't be happier. I'd previously only done MLB saves, but I always looked for a fictional/historical type league. This was exactly what I was looking for!

I live in Michigan so I included a Michigan-Ohio league that txranger had posted as well as a Canadian Independent League with a few teams local to me.

I will probably add some more indies and internationals to the universe as I progress.

I had forgotten to actually post the link to the quickstart, but it is now available at the top of the first post!

I've got a CBL as well and been playing for many years. I've got the Halifax Schooners - really like your Schooner uniforms.
