Player on IR to start playoffs...

I am 4 days away from my playoffs, and just lost a key player for the first round. He is on the 10 day IR. This has happened during my last 3 trips to the playoffs. The problem is I am not allowed to put the player onto the active roster between rounds. And lose him for the rest of the playoffs. Yes, the 10 days are up. I would like to avoid this this year, any ideas. Should I disable Post-Season roster rules?

You can activate him if you make room for him on both your postseason roster AND the regular season roster. It's the latter requirement that once tripped me up and has tripped up others.

Exactly, all you have to do is send the player you called up back to the minors and then you can add your injured player back on the active roster and then to the playoff roster.

Don't even have to do that. Just go to "playoff roster" and move players right and left as needed. Just be sure that the injured player was eligible per playoff rules. Anybody on the 60-day DL must be back on the roster before the playoffs start.

You have to take a player off ie left to right first, in order to make room.
