His NHL debut was in 89/90

I'm now on July 1 1989, he is my teams property, but he still is unable to sign with a foreign team (NHL).

Shouldn't he be eligible to sign to play in his rookie season as it was in NHL? Or does the Iron Curtain fall for ALL the players at the same time?

If it matters I'm set to recalculate player ratings before each season. Iron curtain rules on.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Same issue with Sergei Makarov FWIW

Even in 1990 they won't sign. Same with others who made NHL debuts in 90/91 like Peter Bondra, Sergei Federov, Zdeno Cigar etc.

Yeah, looks like it's not deactivating when it's supposed to, even with editing off. We probably broke something while implementing the historical edit changes, we'll get that fixed.
