Corrupt File?

I just got a corrupt file warning and it won't let me load my game? This is the 2nd time it has happened. Would really not prefer to start all over yet again. Is there any fix for this? It mentions an incident folder but I've had no luck restoring from that.

Any help would be appreciated. If I'm just screwed, so be it. I guess I can always start over but it's starting to get frustrating!

Go into documents, go into the league folder, make a backup of your dats, then go to autosave and copy those dats. Paste them into the league folder and try to load.

Remember to backup the original dats tho

Edit: Reading comprehension. I'll leave it.

You should be able to restore from the autosave function. This is quite similar to what you've already tried in restoring from the incident folder, so it may or may not work, but worth trying.

To restore from the automatic backup, do the following:

1) Open the game and on the start screen, click on Settings (or Preferences in OOTP 11-14).

2) Now click on the tab "Troubleshooting".

3) Click "Open folder containing saved games".

4) Now open up the league folder you're wanting to restore.

5) Then select all of the .dat files in the folder and back them up (just in case) by copying them to a temporary folder or creating a zipped file with them

6) Open the folder called "auto-save".

7) In there, select all of the ".dat" files and copy them to the league folder (the parent of the current folder) overwriting all of the ".dat" files in the league folder.

8)Now start the game and load your league.
