Very nice. Been a while since I pulled someone I can plug in. It's just grinding points to close out missions 90% of the time.
My staff is 100 Kershaw 100 Waddell 100 Walsh 100 Smoltz 99 Breechen Newcome Carruthers Eck Rigney Goose Blue-Closer Also giving Hooks Dause a chance, just closed out a mission to get him and my last spot in my pen has been iffy for a while. 8-0 so far this year. 60-20 in runs. Norm Cash in on pace for over an 11 WAR in his first season. Heh.

I'm also running a 12-man staff though for a couple seasons I've been thinking about reducing to a 6-man bullpen.
Peak Pedro Perfect Walter Johnson SE Walsh Peak Clemens SE Smoltz SE Breechen SE Sheets SE Blue Rixey SE Gossage Peak Sutter SE Hoffman

1/2 way in and Hooks Dauss has been pretty good. 2.4 ERA and 1.1 WHIP.
Vida Blue has an ERA of 0.24 and an ERA+ of 1798 as my closer.

Speaking of Vida Blue, I just finished his collection mission and now he's my #1 starter ahead of Stan Coveleski. My pitching rotation hasn't had an upgrade since I finished Jon Matlack's mission several months ago, so it's a big deal for my team!
It should make the team a lot more competitive in the playoffs. But my team always seems to underperform relative to the regular season even against teams it has done well against, so who knows. |

![]() And if you play long enough, he's the best closer I've ever used. I use him as a starter on my team with less pitching.

Well, Vida Blue had an immediate impact on my team. He went 7-5, with a 2.93 ERA, with the team going 4-0 in his no decisions. Managed to win over 100 games for the first time at the highest level, finishing 103-59 in the regular season.
Then I managed to knock out a 127-35 team in the division series in 5 games, with him bookending the first and last game with wins. Dwight Gooden led the league with a 2.25 ERA, 25 wins and 3 losses. Vida beat him twice in the divisional series. Then he got another win in a 7 game series that the team won against a 133-29 team. My combined record against these two teams in the regular season was 1-11. Vida Blue's playoff ERA is currently 1.64. Feeling pretty good about the championship series, because I'm facing a team that is "only" 108-54. But their home ballpark is super pitcher friendly and they have really good defense. Might win my first perfect league championship, fingers are definitely crossed! Edit: Well I lost 4-1 in the finals. Two, one run games, and a 3 run game. Still, pretty happy with the improvement. Came back down 0-3 to win against a 133-29 team. Definitely the best one of my team's has done given relative talent levels. I'm guessing a few more pieces, and I will be right there. My 2 time Perfect winners lost to a 12 time Perfect winning team in the finals.
But my pitching and defensively focused Broncos won their first Perfect title ever coming back from 3-0 in the finals as Gooden won 1-0 in game 7.

Awww crap, sims will end in May?
....I am in love with my teams finally. LOL My 1 Gold team in 21 just pulled a perfect Joe Morgan. I have kinda ignored those teams, I guess I should start paying attention. Still won't spend any money, but will spend more attention on them.

I won 100 games in Perfect League for the 2nd time, and now I'm up 2-0 in the World Series. I pulled a live Fernando Tatis Jr card, which was pretty instrumental in me winning the division. Unsure how much of a difference he is making in the playoffs because he has been pretty mediocre, but the live Lindor he replaced usually does pretty awful at the plate in the playoffs.
Fingers crossed once again! |

![]() Seems like there's still plenty of people playing, too. Though this announcement will probably thin the numbers down. I haven't played PT21, and I don't think I'll play PT22. Might have to get back to dynasty reporting lol

Finally got my first in perfect. Woke up just in time for the start of the world series with barely enough time to counter the lefty cheese

My Broncos just closed out the Yankees mission, so Pennock goes into the pen, Bumgarner goes from the rotation to the pen, Ruffing goes into the rotation and Randolph will eventually go to 2B, but Gil McDougald is hitting .400 so far, I'll let him cool off first. Chris Short, Mariano Rivera and Snuffy Snodgrass go off the roster.
Ruffing Gooden Seaver Breechen Cone That's....really solid.

My team lost again. After starting 2-0, they went 0-4 in the remaining World Series games. I think I'll pretty much be there if I get one or two more good starters, one more S tier pen arm, and maybe one more good bat.
Pretty close to getting one more starter and one more reliever, just have a few missions to complete. I think that will be enough to win given the right conditions, but a good cleanup bat would make it a lot less luck dependent. This season isn't looking super promising, since I'm going to clinch the wild card at best given who is in my division. |
