Its interesting to see that more people start talking about OOTP on Youtube, its getting bigger i think. Anyway, i heard a lot of "it could be" and "maybe", and "it is confirmed that" during the conversation related to scouting and player personality. Don't forget that this is a simulator and it is easy to find out if a suspicion/theory is true by simming multiple seasons and see which number of X players develop better given their Y character traits. make sure your sample size is good, or at least good enough for you to believe a certain theory.

I just hope people don't play OOTP to get all meta and only care about maximizing the numbers. It's still a game and I've done the DPS and epic grind on other games that eventually leads to burn out and disappointment.

True, but from being around these forums and my based on my own experience with the game, I think baseball immersion and forgetting about the world for a while, will continue to be a primary driver for a lot if not most folks who play OOTP. At least that is my take.
