International size rinks for 2D engine
Would it be hard to implement this for international tournaments?

No, actually - we built-in support for international-sized rinks. I mainly intended that to be used when we re-do the arena stuff in 8, but there's a chance we add it sooner as the default for some international tournaments and leagues.
