Speaking of your version of the IPA, I have posted some possibly usable items for the Joliet Green Giants here, and I think maybe even some Fairfax Frogs-related items. Or if not in this thread, perhaps in my SBC-related thread, there may be some items for the Frogs there.
I also did items for EC's renamed Avalon team, come to think of it. Hopefully they might work for you somehow, if you decide to put them somewhere in one or more of your dynasties, of course, jg2977. Feel free to comment on my items already seen here, and maybe even grab a few of them, if you like and can, supposing you haven't already done so, whenever you feel the need or desire to do so. Will probably periodically add more items here later, if and when I can and all, I expect, Lord willing. But right now, I believe I have a good deal more writing to do with one or more of my latest stories, and I may be at least a couple chapters behind my planned schedule for at least one of them. I'd really like to be done with chapter fifteen of Lighting Up the Darkness by the end of next month. But I am still quite unsure whether or not I can actually have that many chapters done, with sufficient enough quality, by the end of January, seeing as I'm now only up to working in chapter twelve, which I just started a little while ago. These next few chapters are probably going to be difficult to write, being in the middle of the planned story at the present time. So it may take me a good while to get caught up with my planned schedule for it before the end of November, if at all possible. Especially with all the research I will likely need to do along the way as I continue to work on it as best and as quickly as I can. Talk more later, if and when I can, I hope, and expect, Lord willing. Until the next post, then, I'll close this one. CD out.

jg2977, Muskateers should be Musketeers, in fact, just so you know, in your IPA. That's all. CD out.

Some new items for the Morgantown Electrics
Couple of uniforms for a potential team in West Virginia called the Morgantown Electrics. No caps made yet, and will probably recolor the base Electrics logo that I recolored to match these uniforms and the likely upcoming caps. But here's what I still have for them at the present time. That is all. CD out.

Thank you for using at least the caps I made for the Joliet Green Giants and at least one or two items for the Hillsboro Blazers in your IPA, jg2977. It is much appreciated, for sure.
Talk more later, when and if I can, of course, for sure, Lord willing. CD out.

Eugene, I enjoy seeing the added details you include in your dynasty reports. Please consider not omitting them. Thank you. CD out.

I don't want to stop doing it, but in order to reach 100 seasons, I have to cut down on the yearly coverage... at the current pace it would take me 6 years to do 100 seasons. At age 80, I don't know if I will last that long.

Trying to figure out what teams I want to put in the quickstart I'd like to create, and which uniforms and caps of mine I can include in that quickstart, at the moment, among other things I'm doing. Unfortunately, I haven't been able yet to make any logos or do anything stadium-related, even with the Ballpark Construction Kit or anything else, to be sure.
I still can't seem to get the hang of either Pickoff or the BCK, for some reason, and it is a bit frustrating to say the least, in truth. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to work with the BCK to make halfway decent stadiums to work with for various teams? Just wondering, that's all. CD out.

Is there any way I might be able to help you with somehow covering the league, for instance? Or why not make it an online league or something, with you basically overseeing things, as best as you can? Just wondering, that's all. Perhaps others could take up part of the load, by running teams in the IPA, so you don't have to? Just a few ideas here you may want to consider here, that's all. CD out.

With others taking the reins of teams in the IPA, perhaps you can get it to 100 seasons quicker. You have 66 IPA seasons now in the books, it seems. If enough other people get involved, perhaps you wouldn't have to do so much of the work related to it. I'm sure people like Dark Horse would love to get their hands on various teams, if possible, in the IPA, for instance.
While I myself wouldn't necessarily be able to take over one of those teams, mind you, I'm sure there are dozens of people who'd love to have that chance, if they could. That would allow you to take a step back, if you'd like, and recharge your mental batteries, so to speak, and maybe even focus more on your recreational leagues, for instance, among other things you could do in your freed-up time not spent dealing with IPA-related matters. Just a few suggestions here you might consider, that's all, Eugene. CD out.

Let me put on my Professor Advice hat on for a bit, if I may, Eugene. Maybe what I have to say here will be worth considering, in terms of the future of your version of the IPA, or not. But please still consider my suggestions, as you like and all, anyway.
Now you feel you can't keep doing things like you have been doing them in the past, with the IPA and/or other leagues, evidently. Then perhaps you are right in that certain things need to change in relation to them, due to your age and other possible concerns. You have a dedicated following for the IPA, and I'm sure there are more than enough people here on the forums who consistently read that dynasty report whenever something new is up for it. Including me, of course, among many others. Here is what I think I would do, if I were in your position as it may currently stand now, Eugene. But, of course, you don't have to do these things as suggested if you really don't want to. First, once the awards are all distributed for both leagues as needed, ask around, and see if anyone might be interested in taking over some of the workload for any of the current IPA franchises, if not all of it, in terms of running the teams. If anyone is, then investigate the possibility of turning the league into an online league, much like legendsports did, I believe, with the FABL online league setup once enough league-related history had been built up. There are now several people doing reports related to the teams they now run with their organizations and all, of course. Second, if and when they express interest in taking over said team or teams, perhaps that would allow you to step back, and basically prepare the new players for each new season, once a draft process has been decided upon and all, with appropriate rules and all for said draft process, for instance. You could set the necessary rules for the league setup, and all, and then let others take things from there. Third, once others are sufficiently in control of any teams they may take over, they could then handle things related to team branding and other appropriate matters, within reasonable limits agreed on by everyone who takes over an IPA team and/or its reserve/minor league roster, in the future. Once that happens, if it does in at least one case, if not more than one, then you won't necessarily have to spend so much time, probably, in terms of requesting updates for your IPA's teams, of course. Once most team-related matters are under other people's control, you could basically collate all the information about the teams better that others come up with, or their players, and do something along the lines like you might want to do better, sort of like how legendsports is handling things with the Figment Universe details and all, I think. There's many possibilities for the IPA that could likely open up if you do any or all of these things I'm suggesting here. You could even choose your favorite team out of all the IPA teams in its known history, and run it as you see fit, of course. Please think about all these suggestions here and all, as you like and can, and maybe some people around here would be more than happy to try and help you get IPA seasons done quicker around here, in the future. Okay, Eugene? Now doffing Professor Advice hat. Hope the IPA continues for many more seasons, whether it ends after 100 seasons or not, of course, Eugene. Lord willing and all, obviously, that is. CD out.

Appreciate your words of advice, CD.
I'm just going to simplify the IPA and try to get through a season quicker. Then I may be able to play 100 seasons. Trying to get others involved would take me more time that it does now. Thank you for trying to help. |

Well, at least consider it, EC, if and when you like, please. It may perhaps be rather worthy of possible implementation later, if done well and all, and if enough people are interested in the idea. But seeing as it's your league, of course you can run it or not run it as you wish, you know. CD out.

Eugene, do you have city-related data that I can use to create my own version of the IPA, by any chance? Like population figures, and city names, et cetera, that I can input into my games so I can include the IPA in them, for instance?
As you know, one can create new nations to use in-game, with cities and the like present for them. I'd like to be able to include data for either Ruthlandia, Tycobbia, or both nations in my games when desired, and having that information might prove quite helpful in the future for me, I think. Especially if I decide to create my own version of the IPA, of course. It may not have 64 teams in it, at least not at first, obviously, but at least it might allow me to have a version of the IPA as well, you know. Thank you for your time and all here, then. Talk to you later, if and when possible, Lord willing, I'm sure. CD out.

In the meantime, here's hoping I'm able to make more progress on my various projects soon, whether they're currently baseball-related or not, for sure. I'm hoping to get chapter twelve done soon, if I can, for Lighting Up the Darkness, and I hope it doesn't prove too hard to complete by no later than the end of this week, if even that late. CD out.

Just decide how many teams you want... personally I would just keep it small... no more than 12-16 teams... two subleagues with 6-8 teams each... and the first place teams would play for the overall title... no wild cards... just league winners would make the playoffs... give them a name and nickname... and create a league... it's that simple. You are a good writer... create your own town histories... 12 to 16 histories wouldn't be too much to do... do a basic history of the country, too... I would never have a 64-team league like my IPA... it's too hard to administer and maintain. If I were you, I would use towns, logos, jerseys and caps that you have already collected and use them in your new league. That way all the graphics work has been done and all you have to do is play the league using good graphics done by the best designers, txranger, knuckler, low, Lawn Loaf and a few other talented designers. That would be the easy way to do it. |

Do you have any national flags for the two countries of Islandia to share here, at any sizes? Or name-related data, such as ratios/percentages of languages used for names of people in the IPA? Or for your recreational leagues? Just wondering, that's all. Please let me know, if and when you like. Thank you. CD out.

So what country or countries do you use as the base, and modify to get the exact percentages that you want for players in your leagues? Clearly, there has to be some editing required to get the nationality-related mix of names you want for players in the IPA, Eugene. Especially if you don't want foreign players in your leagues outside the nation or nations of your leagues, you know.
Just curious, that's all. CD out.

Some updated/new items for the Las Vegas Antlers of Slaabovia
Here are some updated/new items for the Las Vegas Antlers from Slaabovia, a team in its Sartagaron Heritage Confederation baseball league. The team's two current uniforms are updated, while the caps are new. I do not yet have any logos for them, unfortunately. But if someone could perhaps create some sufficiently good ones for people's use here based on the seen team colors, please, I'd certainly be most appreciative here, folks. CD out.
