Game crash while sim (pc&mac)
Hi Guys,
I am experiencing that the game is shutting down, while I am trying to sim, both when running the game on windows 10 or on my mac. I have tried following things together with Adam (on discord). + We cleared that my PC has the diagnostics to run the game. 1) re-installing game 2) re-valuating on steam 3) tried to run game in full screen and windowed + On the hawks games, I have come a bit further, as I found the game doesn't crash if I actually go play the game/watch the match, and save afterword's. Here is a dropbox link to a regular game with hawks: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zo422nwu9f...ks.lg.zip?dl=0 Here is a dropbox link to a classic game with Trashers: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9elrm2hadi...rs.lg.zip?dl=0 Hope you guys can help

I've been able to sim several weeks ahead on both with no crashes. Let's see if a trace log tells us anything: on the start screen, go to Settings, then Troubleshooting, and click on Enable Debug Trace. Exit and re-start the game, then load one of your saves and continue until it crashes. When that happens, without restarting the game, go to the debug folder (on Windows, it's \Documents\Out of the Park Developments\Franchise Hockey Manager 7\debug) and open the fhm_trace.txt file and post its contents here.

Huh, that's two of you that worked for now. Very odd, all that setting does is create a log, it shouldn't be affecting stability at all.

I have also experienced crashing when pressing "sim game". Enabled Debug and no crash since.

Nevermind I guess it was just coincidence that it didn't crash anymore. Started a new save and crashing started already at the pre season.

BTW - Would switching on debug be responsible for creating these numbers in my news? For some reason today it started doing this. Notice the numbers in the news text itself are different from those in the title...

Update: I think we may have a fix for the crashing, it required a very specific set of circumstances, so it was a little tough to track down. Going to do some testing and get a hotfix out ASAP.

Great to hear you figured this one out! Thanks for all the work you're doing!!
I put up a text file with three Mac crash logs, the first two appear attributable to this bug but the third was when I had the debug on and it crashed on simming. If it's helpful it's "zekecrash.rtf.zip" on the server. Rock on. |

Was that crash before or after the update?
