Load a different ball park for the home team before starting the game. You can't change it after you commit to playing the game,

so creating a stadium in the game is useless it doesn't change the stadium the team appears in when playing the game

You can change the stadium. Just go to edit ballpark and load a new model, and get the obj diagram, and picture for night and day. I don't know if you are having problems creating a new stadium, but if you have one created it should work and the team should appear in it. If want new stadiums here is the link I use to add new parks to my universe. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=287547

Here is pic of 3D model for Detriots DCL field

Here is adding the images for night and day and diagram

Here is the team playing on what is clearly not a typical Dominican League field.

I go to edit the stadium and build a new stadium and then go watch the game and don't see the stadium that I had just built

You have to go to the teams edit ballpark screen and assign the stadium to that team. In the screenshot above notice that the 3D model is assigned South End Grounds.

Why not make it so that when you build a ballpark that park automatically become the one that is assigned to the team

You can. In step 4 or whatever he last step is in the 3D stadium kit, scroll down and assign the stadium to a team.
