Trying to figure out best placements for minors

Hey everyone,

So, I am trying to figure out the best wat to deal with getting rookies/Minors and other players to progress the best.

Do I want to go through each level, switching to AAA, AA, A, and BC and find out where they are highest rated and them them in there or do I want to find where they are decent and put them in there?

I am guessing if I put someone that is rated 100 across the board in BC they will see almost no improvement but if I threw that same person in AA where they are seeing 60's and 70's, they would see a better chance at improvement?

There are a lot of different views on how to manage your minors. Search the forum to see them

My general strategy is to put players at the highest level at which they can be successful.

It is exactly like promoting between any other two levels. Except there are no statistics

Change the ratings so they are relative to the level you are considering promoting them to. Imagine, it helps you to think of it that way, that you are considering promoting them to the majors. Look at their ratings. Do you think they are good enough? If so, promote. If not, don't promote.

Overgeneralized: If their ratings relative to the new level are 50 or higher - promote. 40 or lower - don't promote. 40-50 is going to take more evaluation and more consideration

This is one of those topics where there are certainly wrong answers, but way more than one right or suitable answer. I put together two videos on how I handle the minors.

Now question about the League Development Budget Baseline, does that adjust as your league gets older? I am starting 1985 and the LDBB is only $900,000 and I can only spend $2.7mil at max on my player development. Now you did say there is not really proof this does anything, but I guess just to ask if it advances as time goes by?

I've never done a historical sim but my guess is that depends on if you have inflation on. But I'm sure there are many people on here who would know this definitely.
