Draft Pick compensation for unrestricted free agents (pre-04-05 lockout):

Is such a thing possible to implement? (as the game is currently written...wouldn't expect such a thing to be updated in a patch)

Possible, and I want to do it, but I'm not sure how soon. I'd like to get the historical contract rules a lot closer to their actual mechanics in each season, instead of the somewhat accurage, but generic, representations we've got now. The business side of the game is probably going to be a priority for FHM8, so that may fit in well there.
