I didn't know Spritze 1/100th of the way most of you did. In my short time here, I PM'ed him once with a question. His kindness and helpfulness turned that one PM into a casual back and forth for a few weeks. Spritze sure had the funk. He will be missed.

Wow, what a loss. There are quite a few people who have been part of the OOTP community for many years and have made great contributions to the game. But Spritze certainly stood out as one of the most dedicated, influential and helpful of them all. We already miss you, Spritze.

My heart goes out to his family and close ones.
A huge loss for the game but greater loss for those who knew him.

He ment a lot to me since I play mostly historical, and his huge work have made all that so much more fun with this game.

Of all sportmanagers games Spritze made it possible for this game to be the King for all of us trying to dream back in the past and see what could have developed different over the years.

Thanks for all that Spritze.

But above all, he was a terrific person with a great sense of humor. I can't count how often I have been laughing out loud when reading his emails. This news makes me really, really sad. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Chuck, whereever you are, we will miss you. Rest in peace my friend.

Markus & the entire OOTP Team
I've been around for quite a while and I remember Chuck's posts from the early days. This guy really contributed a LOT to the community and the game. R.I.P Spritze.

WOW - 2020 continues to suck even as it's over - sad that I just saw this post. Although I never knew him - he was always available to help fellow OOTPers in the early days. Spent many seasons using his dbases helping me recreate my own BB universe. RIP

RIP Chuck. What a terrible day for me to return to the forum. It's hard to get a handle on how huge a figure he was in this game. There are the historical databases, including the default, neutered, Gambo-Spritze, and Spritze. I can't fathom the amount of work he poured into this place. It's staggering to me. I'm sure he was a tremendous help in beta testing if his help with individuals is any indication of it. He seemed to never sleep/always be around, and helped a ton of people out with their games.

And oh God, did he ever crack me up. Desert dry sense of humour with a massive helping of sarcasm. Took a while for the newcomers to catch onto it. He must have files available for download scattered all over the web, unless they've come down of course.

You'll have all the time you need for your Super Model Database now OOTP Legend...Er...OOTP Giant...Er...OOTP God. If he's left such a huge hole in our little corner of the universe, I can't begin to fathom the size of the hole that's been left for his family and friends to deal with. I remember him chatting often about his precious grand daughter with great pride. I send my thoughts, condolences and my gratitude to his family and friends for the amazing contribution he was able to make here.

I know I will miss his unique bantering style. He had the funk indeed. I side with those saying that OOTP22 should be dedicated to him, and call for an immediate Addie Joss/Roberto Clemente type induction into the OOTP HoF. None of this five year waiting period nonsense. Do it now please.
