Question about the Custom League... In FHM 6 you guys had Western Junior B for and such for farm teams in the game... Are we allow to add these leagues to current games... So Let's say I want to create AJHL, BCHL, MJHL, and all of those teams out West the East and such we can create those leagues and still have the current NHL and everything too... Also with this being said is it still July 1st to create these leagues... I know with OOTP you can create leagues and farm teams and such so like i said above if say I wanted to create the OPJHL I can assign the teams to OHL as their development teams so that if I wanted to assign my players to develop they arent sitting on the reserve list they are actually sent to a league to develop... Also do we get to decide how many games they play in the season and such |

U18 Draft history is in, but we can't make the draft work in the game without heavily modifying the way player rights are handled, since it's basically drafting players who've already passed through the league's draft. WHL and QMJHL American drafts are in (QMJHL one was in 6, WHL one is new.)

The default will be a full season starting at the normal time. We're waiting on the NHL to make a final decision about the season before we can create an alternate setup that gives leagues their actual 20-21 schedules, or something close to them. In either case, you can use commissioner mode to adjust the schedule length by starting the game on July 1.

Like let's say I create a WHL team like i did last in the WHL... if there is a say BCHL team not being used can i go into team edit and assign them to be my affiliate like you could with NHL and AHL and such not in a custom database or no... if not ill just have to use the edit feature and keep them signed to my club but loan them for the season

Wow, great to finally see what FHM 7 looks like (thanks for putting it across over onto YouTube really quickly too).
I'll be supporting the game and ordering ASAP, the game being only two weeks away was a pleasant surprise. I was expecting it to be a few weeks later but that's great! Just some very early initial feedback based on what I really liked in the reveal: I really like the new user interface, the buttons seem a lot cleaner and the colour scheme also looks very smart and more like OOTP, which is no bad thing. The 2D engine is a much welcome addition - are there going to be options to see how the game is played out like in Football Manager (brief highlights, extended highlights, full game)? The scouting revamp looks excellent. Here are some things that I'm not sure about, which you might be able to clear up: Maybe it was just the example you showed but the match engine seemed to be a little slow? Again this might take some getting used to, but my immediate thoughts were that the player icons looked too small. If they are going to be skinnable in future that would be great - furthermore, hovering over them to bring up their name would be excellent. You mentioned the ability to make a player untouchable for trading, but has anything else been done with trading? In particular, I was really hoping for more in depth options when it comes to setting our team needs (i.e. top-six winger) and seeing the same sort of info when looking at what other teams are looking for, beyond just the position. Also, the trading screen doesn't correctly show the cap-hit it just shows their contract which can be quite different. That's a real bug bear of mine, it would be really useful to have that fixed. Historical Game
Does the goons and enforcers worth this year? I mean does we have a better differentiation of the enforcer tactical roles?
Does the historical physical teams (70's Flyers) will play really physical? Do we have more control on settings on 1st of july like fight/game? |

Historical league question
Say I start a historical 'franchise', picking up a team from, say 1970, 1980, etc and playing through. Do the minor leagues accumulate standings, stats, etc?

Have not watched the video yet, so maybe this was addressed.
Will this year's version have the ability to clear all historical data - no matter which mode you (ie current day, a historical year, etc)? You can do this in OOTP and allows you start your own history from scratch. Thanks. |
