Mysterious Player Option
Any idea why a player option would appear in a contract mid contract? This player has a PO that just appeared for this season:

Most likely - it was there and you were unaware of it
Less likely - it just appeared and should be reported as a bug Another possibility - a vesting option, but I'm not sure if the game has those |

That's an opt-out, not player option. Opt-outs will occur during the contract as it allows the player to get out that year or finish the rest. Like J.D. Martinez's Red Sox contract

Yup. You'll see player or team options at the end of a contract, whereas, player opt-out clauses are going to be somewhere closer to the middle of the contract. Of course, they don't have to be this way in OOTP, but in real life, this is going to be how you see them used.
