Random Crashes :/

Posted this in OOTP 20 but didn't receive a response so wanted to try again here:
Hello, longtime ootp player here and I have just started to have issues. I have been playing a save on OOTP 20, which has never been able to be copied to OOTP 21 due to a bug. This save has existed since the 19 version, and I have not had any issues on 19 or 20 until recently. The game crashes at random times and I have tried nearly everything I can think of or have seen recommended in the forums. Here is some more information:

Are you on a PC or Mac?: Mac

What OS are you using?: Catalina Version 10.15.7

Do you have the game on Steam, Origin or the Standalone?: Steam

If you are on a Mac, what specific model Mac do you have? Also if you're on a Mac please attach the Mac crash report that pops up after a crash: Macbook Air, I unfortunately do not receive a crash report with the crash

What are your system specs (especially your video card and your amount of memory)?: Memory = 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 (idk what this means sorry), have about 20 available GB of storage after clearing some space. Had been having storage issues recently with my system storage and hidden caches, which I hoped by deleting I would fix my OOTP problem as well, but alas here we are

Where exactly does your game crash? What are you doing just before it crashes? Can you consistently get the crash to repeat by doing the same thing or is it seemingly random? Do you get an error message? If so, what?:
Crashes randomly 5-10 minutes into the game, doesn't seem to matter what I am doing but has been crashing at different points in a simulated game. It's possible that there is something which triggers the crash, but I have yet to find it.

Does this crash in only one saved game or in multiple saves? If only one, then we'll need to see your league files as per the instructions in my sig (or you can just upload to Dropbox/Google Drive and post a link): Just played a few minutes in another league and got through simming a game in a manager role.

It would also help us to have the game generated trace file: What is this?

Sorry that's happening! Random crashing can unfortunately be super tough to resolve.

Probably the best way for us to help you would be if you can open a support ticket by sending an email to support@ootpdevelopments.com and work directly with the support guys to do some troubleshooting.

Hopefully they can help you narrow things down and find a fix.

I would recommend the same thing, to try to go through this with support.

We're not always going to be able to fix random crashing, as there are oftentimes too many variable on a given system outside of the game that can cause the issues, but in some cases we can definitely help.

It all depends on why it's happening. It's at least worth a shot to go through some things with support though.

There are also a few basic steps that can help cut down on random crashing as follows:

Turn off any unneeded programs running in the background at the same time you run OOTP.

Make sure to check your hard drive for errors and also to defrag it regularly as well.

Make sure OOTP is whitelisted in any anti-virus programs or firewalls.

Any disk repair or optimization programs, set them to not automatically fix issues with OOTP.

Regularly restart your system and make sure to shut OOTP down when you are not actually using it.
