Perfect Game? Eh, you're the #2 star of the day

We've all seen people no-hitters relegated to #2 or #3 star of the day, but to see a perfect game get the same treatment?

Granted, Buehler pitched a brilliant game himself and had a higher game score, which is I guess is what the OOTP algorithm uses. But man, a perfect game and #2 star? That's rough.

Abel owes a more of his success to his defense.

Good to see the Award Deciders are sabermetrically inclined.

It's determined by game score; Buehler's 16 strikeouts compared to Abel's 6 make up the difference.

If I know one pitcher is going to face X hitters and walk 0 and K 16 and another is going to face Y hitters and walk 0 and K 6, and X is about equal to Y, I'm taking the 16 K pitcher every time.

A perfect game is more (but not entirely) a team achievement
