When your looking players to trade for generally speaking how old can a player play and still have his full potential?

This is impossible to answer. Some players crater at 30, some at 40. There's a hitter in my league right now still efficient at 45 (offensively at least). Add to that the fog of war that is scouting if enabled.
But if that scouting report shows two-colored bars for a 30-something, that's a huge red flag, unless it's July and you can get rid of him in November.
