Playing Saved Game from USB Flash Drive Between Two Computers (MacOS App)
Hello everyone,
I know back in the day there was an option to be able to run a saved game between two different computers using a USB flash drive. I'm trying to play the game between my Mac mini and MacBook Pro. There is an option in the settings to choose a "Custom data path". I think this is where you can choose to run the saved game files off a USB drive. However, I have some questions about this process. 1) Which folder files do I need to move to the USB flash drive for this to work? The "saved_games" folder, or the entire "OOTP Baseball 21" folder? 2) I've tried changing the "Custom data path" both folders specified above on the USB flash drive. However, after I restart the game, it crashes. It won't even load. So I seem to be doing something wrong. Can you tell me what that is? Please let me know if you've tried running the game with this setup, and what the proper steps are to make it work. Thank you! |

I can't help you with the flash drive issue, but I highly recommend using Dropbox, saving your saved game file there, and syncing it between your computers. I've done this successfully with past OOTP games, and it's a nice, automated process.

I expect this would work with any cloud-based service, including iCloud or Google Drive. How do I go about configuring the game to source data from those directories? Can you walk me through a step-by-step?
