Calling back to a nearly-three-year-old conversation related to this photo, here is a newspaper photo of Jiggs Parrott from 1891. It's better than the previous woodcut as far as identification, though not nearly as clear as the 1890 team photo in question.

Referencing back to that photo (and I apologize if positive IDs have been made earlier and I missed it), rather than the player seated, I believe Jiggs, listed at 5'11", 160 lbs., with a heavy, flat brow, is the player standing, second from right, next to 5'7" Bill Whitrock far right. I also believe that John Cahill is seated on the ground, lower right.

Looks like a good ID to me. I'll have to go back and investigate the team photo a bit since it's been so long. My assumption is that Pat Whitaker is also likely pictured as he was one of the primary pitchers.
I believe that Gus Land (who was the primary catcher) is seated left of the manager.

SABR is publishing book titled One Hit Wonders that will contain biographies of players who got one single major league hit. Bill Nowlin, who is editing the book is searching for photos of the following players to use in the publication. I expect the majority of these exist in the forums somewhere. Anyone interested in tracking some of these down? I can confirm that no known images exists of Joe Stabell, Sparrow McCaffrey or Charlie Snow, but the rest are fair game.

Bonus points if image features player with the correct team, though it is not a requirement.
