What does the Green Uptick on the Player Picture mean?

As above. I believe there are down-ticks which are red-colored on some pix as well. It looks like a stock market symbol. Again, I'm asking what that means. Thanks for helping.

I edited to try to add a screenshot but I'm not allowed to do so. I will explain.
To the left of the player rating (62 in this case) there is a silver bar which has a +2 written on it and a green uptick. What does that mean? Thanks.

Not all cards have them.

That number you're looking at is the OVR change on a live player card based on the in-season updates. So your +2 means your player increased by net +2 OVR over the course of the season
