Perspective is a wonderful thing...

After that wild Game 4 ending I promise I will be a lot more tolerant of the various quirky ways one can lose a game in OOTP...

What a game! I am so glad we got sports back this year just for the tense feeling only live sports gives me.

Runner scores from first on a single 8-4-2?!
For a walk off?!!
Against my team?!

How unrealistic

Didn’t know you owned the Dodgers CB.

Also glad to see defense stills wins and loses ball games.

A lot more thrilling than a home run. And the play lasted much longer

I don't. So that's a pretty absurd conclusion to come to

It doesn't
And never has

Defense along with pitching, hitting, and baserunning are all factors in winning and losing.

yes because all those homeruns had no impact on who won the game

how are people so simple-minded

That was such an incredible ending to a World Series game. When I see something like that, no matter the teams involved, it makes me fall in love with baseball all over again. A prospect or an old-timer about to retire...when you're involved in a play like that - even as a teammate - you turn 13 years old for a couple of minutes.

Then I get sad remembering that baseball's popularity among America's youth is in a steep decline.
