Any way to get AI to utilize pinch hitters more?

I have my pinch hit for position players set all the way up. I run a fairly platooned offense. Here is an example...I have a guy playing against LH. He hits well under .200 vs RH. It’s late in the game (7th inning), runner on tie game in the playoffs. I have multiple great options to pinch hit including a guy who is a 4 star player hitting ..350 vs RH and he is listed first on the pinch hitters in the depth chart. AI doesn’t pinch hit...this happens literally all the time. And then other times AI pinch hits but it’s not when I would always expect it to. There is nothing off on the player strat screen. My platoon guys are not set to not pinch hit for. My everyday lineup guys are.

There are strategy settings for this (and other topics) in game. They work, mostly.

Strategies apart from the ones I mentioned?

Its unclear but it seems you're referring to player strategies. If so try setting team strategies.

Game Settings>Stats and AI>General Strategic Tendencies.

There is pinch-hit for pitchers and pinch-hit for Position Players choices. This will cover AI teams--and yours unless you invoke the following:

You can also change the settings for your team on the team strategy page where there are multiple inning/score situations for you to fine tune to your hear's content.
