are there still suspended games? can I reschedule them?

Are suspended games still a part of OOTP? If yes, can the completion of them be easily edited to a different date and time?

Just wanted to bump this. I'm considering using rainouts, but I'm wary of games being suspended. I want to be able to reschedule them myself. I know that rescheduling games that have been postponed in their entirety from whenever they're rescheduled to to my preferred date and time is a simple process, but I'm unsure if it's just as simple to reschedule the completion of a suspended game. I've thoroughly searched this forum and Google and the OOTP manual and cannot find the answer to my question anywhere.

Yes, suspended games are still a thing in OOTP. Any game that is called with the score tied is picked up at the point it was suspended at a later date.

I don't know if you can reschedule the suspended game. My guess is that you can't. You can, however, delete the suspended game and OOTP will count the stats from the part of the game that was already played. It won't, however, show a box score or recap for that game. That's the closest that you can get in OOTP to having a tied game.

Thanks for the response.

Is it possible in OOTP for a game to be suspended with the score not tied? Or will all of those cases simply result in a shortened game? One possible exception that immediately comes to mind is if, for example, a team scores three in the top of the seventh to go up, 5-3, but the bottom of the seventh hasn't been completed yet.

Thanks for your educated guess.

Thanks. This is good to know.

Don't know. Of course, if the game is called in that situation, the score would revert to the last completed inning. In that case, the visiting team would lose. That's something that OOTP permits (I don't know if I've ever seen it, but others here on the board assure me it's possible to have a game go less than nine innings). If, on the other hand, the teams were tied after seven innings and then the visitors score in the top of the eighth, I think that might be a situation where OOTP suspends the game, since the only other alternative would be to revert to the score at the conclusion of the seventh inning, which would result in a tied game, and OOTP doesn't allow tied games.

According to 4.12 of the below link, a game in real-life MLB is suspended due to weather "if a regulation game is called while an inning is in progress and before the inning is completed, and the visiting team has scored one or more runs to take the lead, and the home team has not retaken the lead."
