Strategy set by bench coach

Hello,

I am replaying the 1975 season and have let my bench coach set the strategy. I am interested in realistic strategy and so far it has been pretty good. I am afraid if I set the strategy things may go haywire. How do I know if I should use the bench coach strategy? What do most of you do? I have noticed stolen bases are in line with real life but my complete games are a bit over stated.

Things are unlikely to go "haywire" from changing the strategy

As you noted, things like the number of complete games (or bunts, or steals, or whatever) will change.

If you want fewer complete games, you can set a quicker hook for your starters.

Just note that this will change your team only, not league totals (I think that's what you're interested in) there are other settings for that
