Stadium iterations

Hi all,

Some 3D ballpark designers provide 4 different iterations of stadiums: day open, day closed, night open and night closed. Is it possible to have all of them as options in a game or do I have to choose one and import that option?

Similarly (somewhat off-topic), all I see are 2 options for jerseys (home and away), but some designers create an alternate, 3rd jersey. How do I insert the alternate jersey or do I have to replace either the home or away jersey?

Thank you.

Hey Lechia! The Day/Night options are automatically decided by the game - so if you import a stadium it will have both the day and night options, and they will show up based on the game start time.

As far as the Open/Closed options, the game doesn't automatically switch between the two - you can manually do it. I think you will need to be in commisioner mode to do the following steps:

1. Go to League Options -> Edit Ballparks. This should open up the ballpark editor screen.

2. Click On the actions tab, then click on add new park, then manually import data from file into this park. You will need to do this step two times to load both of the stadiums (the open and the closed options.)

3. Once you have the options chosen you will need to go to the Team Options screen. Click on the dropdown menu for the ballpark tab and click on the stadium you want to change it to - so for example, if you want the default to be the open option for most of your games, choose that one.

4. When you want to switch to the other option (in 3d games) navigate back to the team options screen and switch to that stadium.

Note - for my 3d stadiums that have both open and closed options, changing the model is entire aesthetic and doesn't impact game outcomes. OOTP already chooses whether the game is "played" indoors or out, regardless of what 3d model appears in the presentation. For example, if the game weather is 40 and rainy outside, and the ballpark type is retractable, the game will play as if the roof is closed even if you are using the "open" model. So I really just made them for peoples' aesthetic preferences.

As far as alternate jerseys, yes, you can only do away or home jerseys. Adding alternates (and pants, apparently) would complicate the code significantly, so for the sake of ease we only have those two options. I think the alternate jerseys are kind of like the open/closed models - they add some flexibility and options, but require more manual work to include them in game.

I hope that helps - let me know if anything was unclear.
